This beautiful Painting is part of a series of painting depicting the story and characters in Mahabaratha. The story of what the painting depicts is as below.
After the wedding of Uthara and Abhimanyu , Lord Krishna addressed the gathering of illustrious warriors such as Panchalas, Balabhadra, Vasudeva, Pradhyuman ,Samban and Satyaki assembled in King Virata's court. He said " The Pandavas have faithfully fulfilled the pledge made in Hastinapura. It is now the turn of the Kauravas to make an honourable settlement of the kingdom due to the Pandavas. This message must be taken to the Kauravas by a person of equanimity, wisdom and discernment. It is better that justice is achieved through peaceful means than warfare. Fighting wars is the duty of every Kshatriya. But so is striving for a peaceful solution that can prevent a war"
