Summer Skin Care tips!

The sun is really not your best friend right now. And the first layer of protection for your body, seems to be suffering the most. So how about some tips on confronting the sheer harshness of the weather? Here are 5 quick and easy solutions to your general summer skin problems-


After a whole day out one would really want to relax their weary skin and what better way than a cool face pack. And if it also smells nice, what a bonus! You are what you eat! Amidst the summers, make sure you avoid aerated or sugary drinks with preservatives. They aren’t great for your skin. Its better to replace these with delightful natural smoothies, buttermilk, fresh juices, coconut water, kokum sherbet, aam panaa, etc. The best way to beat the heat is to go natural. Keep your body cool from inside and watch your skin glow.

To maintain that ‘near to perfect’ glow on your face, exfoliation acts like a magic wand! To make a simple exfoliation paste, take 4-5 TBSPs of gram flour, a pinch of turmeric, 4-5 drops of rose water and yoghurt. Mix them well and apply the paste onto your skin. After about 15 minutes wash it off with luke warm water and notice the cleansing effect!

Since heat and pollution come hand in hand like villains in the summer, the texture of your hair really needs to be taken care of. Avoid using styling products, and also remember, summer is the best time for trimming your hair. Both these pointers will help take care of the texture of your hair in summer. Also, keep handy a mixture of aloe vera juice, water and avocado oil into a spritz bottle to retain the moisture level in your hair.
